Dementia Adventure has a successful track record in planning and delivering specially designed small group short breaks and holidays for people living with dementia and their carers to enjoy together. This is designed as an alternative to traditional respite which can be stressful for many people living with dementia.
We can work with you to build a bespoke holiday for the whole family, or a group of friends. We also design holidays which we invite people to join and meet new friends. Please click here to listen to a radio interview where Lucy explains about our holidays and Park Walks.
Places on our holidays are strictly limited, as our maximum group size is 12 people including staff and volunteers. This is in order to ensure proper support and attention for people, to enable them to have a meaningful experience. Please click through to the adventure holidays link below for more details.
VOLUNTEERING FOR DEMENTIA ADVENTURE
If you would like to join us as a volunteer helper on one of our adventures, then please download the volunteer application form here. You will be CRB (DBS) checked and receive full training. The idea is that you will support a couple living with dementia on their holiday, but will not be expected to provide personal care. You will be provided with bed and board for the time away and your travel expenses to and from the holiday will be covered.
Please register your interest by calling 01245 237548, or email us. We will happily answer any questions you may have about our adventures.
