Take on your own Adventure for Dementia Adventure! TrekFest is the UK’s ultimate trekking challenge.
Taking place in two of the UK's most renowned and picturesque National Parks in the UK - the Brecon Beacons, South Wales (3 - 4 June 2017) and the Peak District, Derbyshire (2 - 3 September 2017), TrekFest invites you to tackle some of the best walking trails the UK has to offer. Each location has two routes available - 25km and 50km, meaning there's something for everyone.
You will be provided with a fully signposted route, medical support, route guides, water, snacks and fruit at marshalled checkpoints, hot meal (50km trekkers only), timing chips. The Brecon Beacons National Park is a mountain range that runs through the centre of South Wales, renowned for its inspiring and open scenery. The Beacons is also the training ground of the SAS – as you can imagine the routes will provide you with testing climbs, steep descents and challenging terrain. Both the 25km and 50km routes will summit one of the highest peaks in South Wales, the famous Pen y Fan (886m), it will be a challenging adventure but once you make it to the top you’ll discover sensational views of the Brecon Beacons, with its rolling mountains and hills, stretching as far as the eye can see.
The Peak District is home to stunning scenery and more than lives up to its reputation as one of Britain’s most inspiring National Parks. Both routes start in the beautiful Hope Valley – the heart of the Peak District home to picturesque and ancient landscapes. The 25km route encompasses part of the enchanting Ladybower reservoir and the 50km route summits Kinder Scout – a moorland plateau that at 636m (2,087ft) is the highest point in the Peak District, Derbyshire and the East Midlands! Option A – Minimum Sponsorship
You pay a Registration Fee of £45 per person (25km) / £60 per person (50km) Then raise a minimum sponsorship of £165 per person (25km) / £300 per person (50km). Dementia Adventure will pay your challenge cost from your sponsorship of £50 per person (25km) / £90 per person (50km).
Option B – Self Funding
You pay a Registration Fee of £45 per person (25km) / £60 per person (50km). Then pay the balance of the challenge cost 4 weeks before the event £50 per person (25km) / £90 per person (50km). You can then fundraise for Dementia Adventure and the full amount will be received by the charity.
OPTION C - Discounted Full Payment
You pay a total discounted cost at registration of £85 per person (25km) / £140 per person (50km). Then fundraise for Dementia Adventure and we will receive the full amount.
