The Virgin Money London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet. A record number of 253,930 UK applicants had registered for a place in the 2017 ballot when the application system closed on Friday 6 May. This is an increase of more than 6,000 from the previous record of 247,069 applications for the 2016 event!
Entrants will be notified of the result of the public ballot entry for the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon in October 2016. We would love anyone who is successful in the Ballot to pledge to run on behalf of Dementia Adventure. If you do not hear from the London Marathon by then, please contact their helpdesk on 020 7902 0200.
If you have been successful in the ballot and would like to raise funds for Dementia Adventure please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01245 237548 to let us know and we will be very pleased to support you all the way!
You will need to set up a fundraising page on Virgin Money Giving, choose the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon and select The Dementia Adventure Trust as the charity name.
If you are unsuccessful in the ballot but would still like to run for Dementia Adventure, please contact email@example.com to see if we have secured any charity spaces before 18th October 2016 to complete an application form for our charity space. If you have not heard anything by 18th October 2016, contact the Virgin Money London Marathon helpdesk. There is a non-refundable registration fee of £100 plus a minimum sponsorship amount of £2000.
