Holidays: A Volunteers Story

People living with dementia can often feel that things like holidays and travel are no longer available to them, but Dementia Adventure specialise in creating small group holidays for people living with dementia, their partners, family, friends or carer to enjoy together. DA supports people living with dementia and their carers by underwriting the cost of their holidays to make them as affordable as possible. One of the ways they do this is to train and equip a team of expert volunteers. Carol Bower volunteers with Dementia Adventure (DA) on their holidays. She has been on two holiday’s so far.
