Last month we were delighted to be part of the Suffolk Show held in Trinity Park near Ipswich. The show is a huge, two day, all-age event, hosted by the Suffolk Agricultural Association. Running over two days the event had something for everyone, from live animal displays, to rides, to food, drink, stands and competitions it was a lot of fun.
We will be showcasing our supported holidays and short breaks for people living with dementia, at the Suffolk Show this year.
Dementia Awareness Week runs this month from the 15-21 May.
We believe it is possible for people living with dementia to live well, have contact and connection with the outdoors and enjoy a sense of adventure in their lives. In support of Dementia Awareness week we have put together 5 simple ways in which you can do just that.
In March we were thrilled to run our first open training event ‘Thinking Differently about Dementia’ at the stunning Batsford Arboretum, in Gloucestershire. It was an inspiring, inclusive and informative training event designed for people living with dementia, family carers, social and health care professionals, care home staff, green space organisations and many more.
