Dementia Adventure is an innovative charity and social enterprise working together to make sure that people living with dementia have access to nature and the outdoors on a regular basis. We provide training, research and consultancy services as well as adventures and short breaks for people living with dementia and their carers, across the UK.
We have ambitious plans to take the organisation as a whole through to a new era. We are looking for our first volunteer co-ordinator the organisation has ever employed, to play a key role in shaping the growing role of volunteers across the whole organisation.
Recently we have been following the progress of Paul Hollick’s epic adventure walking from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money for Dementia Adventure. He successfully completed the journey and now that he’s back, dried off and had some sleep we spoke to him to get a first-hand account of his huge accomplishment.

The London Borough of Redbridge and Vision RCL have just celebrated their first anniversary of dementia-friendly park walks at Valentines Park. Just over a year ago we delivered our Walk Leader Training to eight members of the Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure team and we are delighted to say that their dementia-friendly park walks have been a resounding success.
