We are pleased to announce the publication of ‘Is It Nice Outside?’ a report commissioned by Natural England, led by Dementia Adventure and co-authored with The Mental Health Foundation and Innovations in Dementia. The report shows the outcomes of consultation with people living with dementia and family carers concerning their activity and engagement with nature and the outdoors.
Over the last few months we have had the pleasure of adding some highly experienced and passionate individuals to our governance teams. As Dementia Adventure is both a Community Interest Company (CIC) and a Charity (Dementia Adventure Trust) we have different Governance teams for different parts of the business. We are privileged to have the input and support of this incredible group of people.
APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED
Dementia Adventure is an innovative charity and social enterprise working together to make sure that people living with dementia have access to nature and the outdoors on a regular basis. We provide training, research and consultancy services as well as adventures and short breaks for people living with dementia and their carers, across the UK.
We have ambitious plans to take the organisation as a whole through to a new era. We are looking for our first volunteer co-ordinator the organisation has ever employed, to play a key role in shaping the growing role of volunteers across the whole organisation.
This training event is an exciting collaboration that will provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support people living with dementia to get outdoors, connect with nature, themselves and their community, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives
