In March we were thrilled to run our first open training event ‘Thinking Differently about Dementia’ at the stunning Batsford Arboretum, in Gloucestershire. It was an inspiring, inclusive and informative training event designed for people living with dementia, family carers, social and health care professionals, care home staff, green space organisations and many more.
People living with dementia can often feel that holidays, travel and outdoor activity are things that are no longer available to them. Dementia Adventure specialise in designing and delivering small group short breaks and holidays for people living with dementia, their partners, family, friends or carer to enjoy together.
Our 2016 holidays are selling out fast but we have some spaces remaining on these upcoming holidays.
This training event is an exciting collaboration that will provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support people living with dementia to get outdoors, connect with nature, themselves and their community, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives.
