Dementia Adventure is delighted to have attended the 2017 People’s Postcode Lottery annual Charity Gala where it was announced that £66.3 million was awarded to charities and good causes in 2016 - thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery. We are one of 69 charities that benefitted from this incredible funding.
Dementia Adventure have recently completed a successful, pilot training project with Care Farming UK. Care Farming is the therapeutic use of farming practices to provide health, social or educational care services to a range of individuals such as people living with dementia, children with learning difficulties and people suffering with depression.
We’re excited that 2017 is shaping up to be an incredible year, where even more people living with dementia get access to the outdoors, to connect to nature, themselves and their communities. To kick off the year, here is a brief word from our new Chair of Trustees - John Barnes.
