Nature in Mind is a first step for a wide selection of staff and volunteers who want to raise awareness of dementia and the benefits of nature and outdoor based experiences, and to bring about positive cultural change and service improvement. This interactive one day workshop introduces the evidence behind this work and shows how simple changes and practices can be introduced which will have a positive impact on the well-being of people living with dementia and the staff and volunteers who support them. Delegates spend time together planning ‘adventures’ and addressing potential barriers before committing to personal actions to enhance the care they provide.
This training is ideal for health and well-being staff; day care, home care and home help staff, and staff and volunteers from across a range of organisations.
