Walk and Adventure Leader training gives delegates a firm grounding in our work enabling them to plan, deliver and evaluate a range of dementia-friendly activities including walks, activities in green spaces and other environments, and activities within and around the home setting. Having looked at the evidence around this training and learned about the benefits of this, you will spend time considering the barriers and solutions involved in activity planning. Delegates will then plan and execute some adventures themselves and consider the risks and benefits involved.
Walk Leader Training is available as 1 and 2 day courses depending on your staff and support needs. Adventure Leader Training is a 3-5 day course.
This training is also available as a licensed product with access to a wide range of Dementia Adventure planning resources, quarterly activities updates and ongoing support and advice from our Project Leaders.
